Undercarriage / Suspension

Based on the approach of a “daily-driveable ultra low-down classic car”, Izanami has independently developed GOKUTEISOU, our lineup of specialized suspension parts. For older vehicles which have undergone years of natural deterioration, update and optimization of key parts is necessary. By updating all joints to pillowball type, converting ball-joint to rack-and-pinion setups, strengthening the braking setup in partnership with Wilwood, etc..

We have the technology to totally update and optimize each vehicle’s suspension for improved performance and comfort. Also, because we often produce deep rim wheels to custom sizes which do not normally fit within factory fender lines, we have many advancements in narrowing front and rear arms to accommodate wide wheel sizes.

Bodywork

Slicing and reinforcing a car’s frame is indispensable when lowering most old cars to the limit.

Using precision measuring apparatus and dedicated jigs, we are able to perform accurate body modifications that allow maximum rigidity of the vehicle’s body. We also specialize in pipe frame production and subframe production for race-use and perform in-house full spot welding with a water-cooled auto spotter.

We conduct high-quality body restoration by making full use of equipment not found in ordinary sheet metal shops, including three-roll benders, English wheel, and semi-automatic bead rollers. With specialized machinery like these, molding and regenerating interior and exterior panels from sheet metal is possible.

We also can support full exterior paint and finishing in our own paint booth.

We have our own range of large scale machinery allowing us to manufacture all necessary parts in-house. Setting strict production standards, we release only the parts which meet these set values. In the case of modified factory parts, the key is in the use of dedicated specialized jigs which are also all manufactured in-house.

CAD / 3D Design / Engineering

In the production of parts with complicated shapes such as engine support members, we start with a 2D sketch then render it through 3D AutoCAD in-house.

Specialized part production begins after in-depth evaluation of the materials, shape and strength. This design ability allows us to offer a totally unique product not available anywhere else.
